Georges is a member of the NHL Player Inclusion Coalition.

An initiative bringing together active and retired NHL players, as well as committed professional athletes. This coalition works to advance equality, diversity, and inclusion in the world of hockey — and far beyond the ice.

For Georges, this commitment is not symbolic. It is the natural extension of a journey marked by racism and intimidation, experienced from within one of the most-watched sports leagues in the world. He speaks up, he shares his story, he acts — so that the next generation does not have to go through what he went through.

Spokesperson for World Vision,

Georges has gone into the field to see firsthand the realities these families face, and to witness the concrete impact that international support can have on a life, a school, a village. For him, fame only has value if it serves a purpose. World Vision gives him that lever.

Participation in humanitarian projects in Haiti

As the son of Haitian parents, Georges has never turned his back on his roots. He believes that solidarity with Haiti is a responsibility, not an option.

Promoting veganism and overall health

This conviction led him to found BGL Nutrition, a brand rooted in his values: overall health, hydration and conscious nutrition. A concrete way of showing that everyday choices have an impact, on yourself and on the world.

In 2010, he took his commitment a step further by entering politics as Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Canada. Through this role, Georges affirmed his desire to actively contribute to environmental protection, social equity and the building of a more sustainable future. A natural choice for a man who has always believed that commitment does not stop at the arena doors. Environmental protection, social equity, building a more sustainable future — values he has carried long before they became mainstream.
